There's no perfect timing either, you have to create the perfect time and perfect situation.

Forgive others so you can get peace.

What you do speaks so loud that I cannot hear what you say.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

How to have a Good Day.

I know some days are such a drag and others are like world war 3. You look around you and people are all smiles. Happy and enjoying life and you wonder why. Well if there is one thing I've learnt first hand is that YOU MAKE YOUR OWN HAPPINESS! So here are a few things I do to not only survive my day but to have a Good day sometimes even super Great :)

Step 1

  • Wake up grateful.
  • Wake up knowing your purpose for the day.
  • Wake up and recall all your goals and dreams that you are trying to achieve.
  • Wake up thankful that you are blessed with a new day and a new chance to start over and do better than yesterday.
Step 2

  • Have a good shower, get dressed (Look good and feel good), eat breakfast.
  • A glass of water won't hurt in fact it will be good for you.
  • Don't be late, arrive on time.
  • Before you leave home, look yourself in the mirror and tell yourself it's going to be a great day no matter what happens.
Step 3

  • On your way to work, school, or wherever your destination is tell yourself that you are a success, your day will be successful and you will achieve everything you want to achieve in this day.
Step 4

  • During the day keep on reminding yourself that you're great, that you're having a great day that no matter what it will stay a great day.
  • Be friendly, smile. Be positive throughout the day.
  • If something doesn't go your way or something bad happens, remind yourself that it isn't the end of the world.
  • Work hard and make sure you get everything done.
  • Don't forget to eat right and drink lots of water.
It's okay to have minor bad days now and then but always strive to make the best of your day. Instead of seeing the bad in a situation or your day, see the good in it.

Don't waste your time being unhappy. Your happiness does not depend on your job, or people or your day or even your situation, it depends on you, so you need to make your own happiness and keep on being positive.

Today Should Always Be Better Than Yesterday!

Make that your motivation to do better every single day. Take a step closer to your dream every day!
If you want to be a champion you have to turn your dream into your goal, protect it and keep it deep in your heart. You need to eat, drink, sleep, laugh and cry without ever taking your eyes off your goal.

-The Gabby Douglas Story

Just thought I'd share this with you before I forget. It's not exactly the same as what the actress said but it's close enough and still powerful! Looking forward to watching the rest of the movie! :)

More than just a blog.

Have you sometimes felt alone in your struggle or alone on your journey to success? Are you left begging and pleading for people to believe in your dream and for them to take you seriously? Sadly with no luck and with frustration left disappointed? Well let me tell you now that you're not alone, that you're not the only one who is feeling this way. I have felt alone so many times. Especially when you've come up with a great idea or set on a goal to do something and then you share it with those closest to you to share your excitement or enthusiasm and then you actually regret doing it, you regret telling them your goals and dreams and all that you want to achieve. You regret opening up and trying to share your excitement to those who matter to you. Because instead of being excited with you and for you, they showed the opposite emotion.

Sometimes people don't want to hear about your ideas or goals because maybe they are busy with their own things and don't have time to take on your excitement. Which to an extent is understandable because we all have our paths to take and don't always have time to be excited for someone else when we haven't achieved our own goals and dreams yet. This type of people I understand.

Now there's another group of people that refuse to be happy for you because they do not want to see you succeed. Those are the type of people I've mostly come across. They make excuses and break you down and tell you why it would never work and they tell you to focus on what you currently doing and not waste your time dreaming. They want you to focus on the task at hand, which fair enough is true and they are right in that sense. For example with me, I study medicine and I run a blog. My first priority is medicine, getting the best marks I can get and eventually graduating to finally become a doctor. But on the other hand what limits me to only doing one thing? Obviously one cannot take on 2 big tasks at the same time, you have to do one at a time. But because my blog does not require a lot of time (max 2 hours) I can afford to both study and have a blog. I have goals and dreams for my blog as well. I want it to be successful and to grow and reach the lives of people who need it. I want to help and inspire people who feel alone or overwhelmed through my blog. So when I tell people that I have a blog, they turn me down and say it is a waste of time. So I ask them "Is it a waste of time for me or a waste of time for you?" Because I can do it, I can contribute and help people through the blog, that's not a waste of time for me.

If there's one thing I've realized is that people will make you feel bad for dreaming and they will turn your dreams down, that's sadly how some people are. What you have to do is ignore them and just do you. You need to remember why you doing it and not care what anyone else has to say about it. I am blessed to have a supporting family and boyfriend, so I don't care about any other person's opinion. For those of you who don't have anyone else or feel alone, I'm here, the blog is here, we won't judge or shut you down, we will support you 100%. I guess that's why they say you need to surround yourself with people who are like minded and people who want to see you succeed.

This blog is really to motivate us all to succeed in whatever we set our minds on doing, not only in our goals and dreams but in our relationships, school, work, health and in general life. It is for that person who needs advice or a little nudge in the right direction. It's about how to use your time wisely doing the things that will benefit you most. We all can succeed all we need is heart and drive and this blog helps you with all of that. Motivational quotes to encourage you when you feeling weak. We are more than just a blog we are your friend and your mentor and support structure. We want you to be happy and content with your life and that's all we really stand for.

If you ever feeling lost or lonely this blog is the place to be. You will find something that changes your mind or pushes you to hang on that much longer and to push that much harder. Or you can email me ( or leave a comment and I will get back to you with some genuine advice.

Peace Love and happinnes.

Why Do We Fall - Motivational Video!

What is stopping you from being the greatest? Why can't you be as successful as the most successful person you know? Ask yourself these questions and find answers to them. If you're willing to give up half way because of pain and failure, you've lost. Why give up when you've gone through so much already, rather push on and endure that pain and get a reward for it when you reach your finish line, goal or success.

Success comes from knowing that you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming.

Life on the streets is not the end of the road.

Hello Giants

What do I mean by the title? Well firstly I mean exactly that. Secondly to explain further, all I'm saying is that, there are many people on the streets, homeless people, and what I want to say is that, there is more to life, just because you are living on the streets it doesn't mean you will die there, it doesn't mean that you can not change your world around and do better or find a job or get an education. Many people think that once you're on the streets you'll stay there, and I won't pretend to be better I once thought so too, but then my mindset changed. My sister and I had just parked our car in Braamfontein in time for our nail appointment. Before we could enter the salon, a man and his sister stopped us. They were polite and friendly and tried their hardest to smile but you could see the pain and suffering through their eyes and the conditions they were in. They were white people but looked tanned only because of their dirt (I mention the race to kill this myth most South Africans have that only black people are suffering, this is not true, every race in our country has a select few that are suffering and are poverty stricken, it isn't only black people. Open your eyes and mind, Poverty is not racist, it affects all). The man asked for some money, so naturally we asked how much he wanted and what he would do with it. So with no hesitation he said he would buy bread for him and his sister to share and then also pay to stay the night at a shelter. I had never heard of this before and I had no idea you had to pay to stay at a shelter, I'm not sure if it was true or not but I asked a few people on the streets and most of them said it sure was true specifically with this certain shelter they were talking about. Still not sure if it is true or not (I'll try and find this out). The man further went on to say that, he just mostly needs the money for shelter because he was going to wash up there in the morning so he could go look for jobs at grocery stores as a teller or a waiter or any hard labour he could find so that he makes money for him and his sister. He wants to eventually put himself and his sister through college so they can have a diploma or degree in something. We ended up giving him money, enough for food and the shelter. I don't know where they are now and haven't seen them since but I hope and pray they are coming along fine.

What am I trying to say actually? I'm saying that you can make something of yourself regardless of your situation. Homeless people who have 2 hands, 2 feet and a working body can go out there and find themselves a job, it doesn't have to be anything that seeks experience. I've noticed that they tend to think every job needs experience, which is not true, on the other hand they could be using this as an excuse, some of them are just darn lazy to be honest, they'd rather beg than work for money (anyway this is not the point). We had a gardener once who was homeless once upon a time. I know of companies that need men and women for piece jobs (Temporary work), or to carry things, like to move furniture, to wash cars, to clean the streets, to collect waste, be a gardener etc. These are not popular jobs but they give you an income no matter how small, it's better than nothing and going to sleep hungry. Once you've found a job, work yourself up, save a little and eventually work towards putting yourself in school and getting an education, make a plan and you could eventually be living your life instead of living to die.

I also believe in and support organisations that aim to make all this happen. Organisations that provide the homeless with shelter, food and clothing and then slowly help them regain their lives. We need more of these organisations to start helping and save a homeless life. Today I came across this video on YouTube and I found it so heart warming and inspiring. It is by the Amy Winehouse Foundation that aims to do the above that I mentioned and more, it also helps people who are dealing with addictions, such as alcohol and drugs. I think it's an amazing foundation, I'm impressed and they are really changing lives. It's based in the UK but I think all countries should have a foundation like this.

Peace. Happiness. Success.

Here's some advice...

If you are faced with a huge task ahead of you or if you feel your ideas and dreams are too big, you have to break it down into little portions. Put in 100% in each portion, day in and day out, take a small step every single day towards your dream. It doesn't matter how small the step is, take it and put your all in that small step that you took today, and the next step tomorrow and the day after that. And eventually you will reach your goal and your task and dreams.

According to Will Smith, in his documentary he says that many people are faced with big tasks ahead of them and most people fear these tasks because they look impossible to achieve and therefore rather give up or don't attempt to try it because it seems like a one way road to nowhere and failure. Will Smith says he chooses to think of the task as a wall. He lays one brick at a time as perfectly as he can, he lays the most perfect brick 110% effort in that brick and with that mindset, when he keeps on doing it over and over  and over, laying one brick at a time, eventually he'll have to most perfect wall because he put 110% in all his individual bricks to make the wall. That's how Life, Goals and Dreams work. You have to take it one step at a time, break it down and tackle one thing at a time. You need to make your every effort, the best effort. You need to make your effort 110% so that the outcome is a sum of all those small steps that you took and as we all know success is the sum of all the little things you do day in and day out to get the things you want and need in life. It doesn't just happen, it isn't an overnight change or success, it is a series of small steps and a process.

It's like a staircase, in order to get to the top you need to take a step at a time until you reach the top and that's how life and success is. You have to start to get somewhere and it may look too big and too scary but if you take it one step at a time and put in your all, you will get there and it will be perfect because you put in your best effort.
